My big bones

I have big growing bones that aren't joined together yet. Don't let me jump or stand me on my back feet.

Sleep

I can choose strange places to sleep but please don't disturb me as long as I"m safe. I need my sleep.

Toys

I love toys as much as you. But I can't help chewing them to bits so don't be cross. Please keep favourite toys far away from me.

Food

Some food like chocolate is bad for me. But I'm tall and will steal food left out on benches. Help me by keeping food out of reach.

Not these dog toys

I love dog toys but try not to buy me any toy or rawhide I can unravel. It might go into my tummy and get stuck.

Good dog toys

I love hard toys and kongs you fill with yoghurt or kibble. They help me when I am teething or bored.

No cooked bones

Never ever feed me cooked bones. They hurt my insides a lot. I love raw beef brisket bones and raw chicken drumsticks.

Small dogs

I love playing with small dogs but they may not like me. Don't let me off when there's a chance I might accidentally squash small dogs and hurt them.

Walking

I need to visit new places so I get used to things. Don't walk me more than 5 minutes for every month of my life until I turn one. My growing bones need care.

Running

Sometimes I go crazy running or playing. Please stop me if I get too crazy as I might hurt my bones.

Come back!

I am a sight hound so I chase. If I see a cat, another dog or wildlife, I don't hear you call me. Don't let me loose unless it's safe.

Teething

I'm a monster when I'm teething. I don't mean to scratch you with my teeth but my gums hurt so much. Find me a hard toy.
